FULL TIME TRANSPORT PLANNER REQUIRED - IMMEDIATE START - MUST BE FLUENT IN FRENCH
MON-SUN (to work 5 days in 7)
Purpose of role:
To contribute to the effective, efficient and safe operation of the transport office by dealing with incoming queries, quotes and tasks for a range of different size vehicles via email and telephone. To deal with the team of drivers in an effective manner and acting at all times in accordance with company procedures, health and safety legislation and the terms and conditions of all statutory licences, permits and permissions.

Liaison with: All internal customers, external customers and stakeholders
Duties and responsibilities:
To receive incoming telephone calls from customers, deal with their requests, give quotes, confirm tasks and liaise with drivers to ensure a successful completion of task.
Answer the telephone and direct calls to department required or take full messages as necessary
Distribute jobs in accordance with Drivers Hours Regulations, customer requirements and Working Time Directive.
Deal with incoming email enquiries and respond in a timely and professional manner
Promote positive communication between customers, office staff and drivers.
Deal with quote requests in a timely manner
Complete day Sheet and Tracker
Contribute to the profitability of the Company by implementation of correct margin and vehicle utilisation
Exercise prompt data entry using in-house computer systems to make sure that information is up to date and relevant.
Issue weekly/daily workloads and instructions to the driving team.
Briefing drivers on their future tasks and daily workloads
Call drivers for regular updates and deal with any issues that may occur.
Liaise with drivers for job updates and any deal with any difficulties encountered
Liaise with Sales regarding customer requests and any queries
Liaise with customers on ETA’s, POD’s and any delays or problems with deliveries.
General office administration duties including filing of proof of deliveries.
General housekeeping to make sure that working areas are clean and tidy
Any other duty as required by Line Management

Key Skills and Behavioural requirements:
Fluent in French
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical route planning skills with excellent knowledge of the UK road network, along with the French road network, and postcodes to achieve economical transport plans.
Ability to work out required margin on jobs to ensure maximum profitability
Problem solving ability
Self- motivation with the ability to work unsupervised when required.
Strong negotiation skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work with pace and professionalism showing pride and passion for the role.
Operate as a team player across all areas of the business

GCSE English and Maths
We currently require 1 x Planner to work 5 days in 7, shifts of which can vary if required. Based at Millshaw Park Avenue, Leeds.
Starting Salary £22,000 increasing to £25,000 following successful completion of a 3 month probationary period.
